Joanna Reiss is a Partner of Cornell Capital, which she joined at founding in 2013. She is involved in the sourcing, evaluation, execution and ownership of investments. Ms. Reiss has had primary responsibility for the evaluation and execution of each transaction considered by Cornell Capital since inception, including MRC Global.
Ms. Reiss began her career at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division in the Consumer Retail Group. She subsequently moved to the Merchant Banking Division, where she focused on corporate investment opportunities for the Goldman Sachs Capital Partners funds. She was heavily involved in Goldman’s investments in ProSight Specialty Insurance, Apple American, SeaWorld and Fifth Third Processing, amongst other transactions. Prior to joining Cornell Capital, Ms. Reiss was an investment analyst at Merchants’ Gate Capital, a long / short hedge fund.
Ms. Reiss graduated with High Distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with dual emphases in Finance and Accounting.
