Vice President of Commercial Projects
Jose Bahury is the vice president of commercial projects at Monolith. He has over 30 years of experience in the carbon black industry. He joined Cabot Corporation in Brazil, eventually joining U.S. operations in 1987. While at Cabot, he worked for all four major regional business units, restructuring/managing operations, commissioning, decommissioning, starting up and building facilities, including its largest industrial complex in Tianjin, China. His titles during this time varied, and included president of Cabot Canada and global energy projects director.
In addition to Cabot, Jose also worked for Petrobras and Koppers Holdings Inc., where he oversaw construction of and operated its largest tar distillation facility located in Jingtang, China. Over his career, Jose has a track record of building complex projects on time, on budget and with a focus on safety.
Jose has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Fedetal University of Rio de Janeiro and graduate certificates in industrial safety and business administration.
