William J. Brady, Jr. is the executive chairman at Monolith and a member of the board of directors, where he helps direct corporate strategy and customer-focused commercial engagement. Previously, Mr. Brady was executive vice president of Cabot Corporation, the world’s largest carbon black company. Throughout his 23-year experience at Cabot, Mr. Brady held numerous positions in the United States and Japan, including general manager of the $2B carbon black business, which operated 23 manufacturing plants in 17 countries.
In addition, he led the commercialization of two start-up businesses at Cabot in inkjet colorants and elastomer composites. He has also served as president, chief executive officer and a director of Mascoma since 2010. Mr. Brady is also a member of the board of directors of Hollingsworth & Vose, a next-generation materials company. He is a graduate of the University of Scranton with a B.S. in chemistry, and received his M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
