Our Operator is responsible for the safe collection and sampling of Carbon Black, meeting the demands and availability requirements of internal and external customers. This is a non-exempt role, reporting directly to a Operations Supervisor.
Manage sampling by
collecting and labeling samples of product
on-time and according to sampling expectations
delivering samples on time to the lab
General backend support of production
Perform other related work as assigned
Willing and able to work 12 hour overnight shifts for 3-6 consecutive nights every other week or as needed
Able to uphold regulatory, company and customer standards
Able to contribute to and promote a team environment
Able to work independently and with minimal supervison
Able to read, understand, and speak basic level of English as well as perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, and division
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
Able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation
Successful working independently without close supervision
High school diploma or GED
Started or completed a degree aimed at a career in manufacturing or operations
