Your Role

The Process Engineer Intern is responsible for improving stable production at the Olive Creek 1 (OC1) Plant, as well as to develop the depth of process engineering experience that is needed within the company to help support OC1 and beyond.

You Will

Assist Monoliths Core Technology team in understanding and optimizing reactor operation and production

Work with process engineering, operations, and maintenance to complete projects that improve reactor uptime, including:

  • Validating heat and material balances
  • Optimizing utility usage
  • Analyzing equipment performance and generating correlations
  • Designing and implementing a plant improvement project

Gain a foundational experience in a continuous processing environment

Performs other duties as needed.

You Have

Completed at least 1 semester of your 3rd year in an accredited chemical engineering program and have excelled in the following courses:

  • Heat and Mass Transfer
  • Thermodynamics
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Programming (Excel/VBA; Python or Matlab a plus)
