Manufacturing Accounting Manager

Your Role:
The Manufacturing Accounting Manager will oversee all manufacturing cost accounting related activities for all Monolith facilities including month end close, FIFO costing for supplies and finished goods inventory, labor & overhead absorption, inventory management, and freight and duty tracking and monitoring. This role collaborates with other members of the Accounting and Finance teams, as well as senior management and other departments including Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance.
You Will:
- Lead and facilitate the forecasting of revenue, inventory and manufacturing costs and plant operations expenses for each manufacturing facility
- Assist with IT systems growth, upgrades, and processes to achieve consistent manufacturing accounting across locations
- Establish processes for providing accounting schedules routinely and as requested for internal and external reporting requirements
- Document controls, processes and procedures related to manufacturing accounting and ensure SOX compliance
- Assist with and ensure successful quarterly and year end audits
- Drive analysis for operational improvements to optimize of manufacturing costs for improvement of business profitability
- Establish inventory control procedures across manufacturing facilities to ensure accurate inventory for operations and annual PCAOB audit
- Partner with Operations Engineering, Core Tech Engineering and FP&A Finance teams for analysis of manufacturing cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure process integrity and consistency amongst manufacturing facilities for forecasting, costing, inventory integrity, and transaction recording
- Maintain phenomenal relationships with business partners and accounting peers to address information reporting needs
- Oversee month end close process at each manufacturing facility related to manufacturing costs, operations expense, and accurate inventory records
- Facilitate capital asset budgeting process across facilities in conjunction with operations and engineering teams to optimize capital expenditures for operational excellence and return on investment
- Partner with manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain for identification and analysis of cost reduction opportunities
- Lead efforts on variance analysis related to usage and pricing to achieve manufacturing budget goals
- Work with maintenance and supply chain teams to optimize inventories for best use of working capital
- Perform other duties as needed

You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area (or equivalent)
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
- Minimum 7-9 years’ experience in Accounting preferably in a large, multi-plant manufacturing environment with evidence of exceptional ability
- Certification as Management Accountant preferred
- Experience and comfort working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for process cost accounting
- An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities

Minimal travel is required.
The majority of the tasks involved with this position are performed in an open office environment
